CAT6 UTP Cable

Overview

UTP Category 6 Cable is a standard for Gigabit Ethernet and other network protocols that is backward compatible with the UTP Category 5e standards. Compared with Cat-5 and Cat-5e, Cat-6 features more stringent specifications for crosstalk and system noise. The cable standard provides performance of up to 250 MHz. UTP Category 6 cable can be identified by the printing on the side of the cable sheath.

  • It is proven that there is no malicious and obvious damage done to the Cable, and the Cable has not deteriorated because of being installed in the wrong environment.
  • Other factors to be taken into account are the crimp quality / switches / and any other item that is connected to the Cable – these need to be checked to be working correctly and that the cable has not been mistakenly identified as the problem.
